Re: Eczema

Thank you for your response.

Certain lotions, etc. do affect me more than others, so ofcourse I stay away from those. I try to stick to more natural products, that have very few ingredients.

And yes, I live in L.A. and the water is heavily treated with chlorine and fluoride, so I added a filter onto the showerhead to minimize my exposure. I also try and wear gloves as often as possible, when washing dishes/cleaning/etc. My skin is even irritated to exposure of certain fruit juices/liquids.

The problem is that something (primary) brings on the eczema/dermatitis, and then any exacerbation is a secondary problem. When I use the much dreaded betamethasone lotion, the eczema goes away, but will usually reappear after a few days, because of something - maybe a food allergy , life stressors, etc. I would like to prevent it from returning - nip it in the bud, alltogether.

I have tried 'Florasone' cream - a homeopathic treatment which helps, but doesn't completely eradicate the eczema.

I just started on a week's worth of Chinese herbs, and am having acupuncture once a week. I've also started taking Humic/Fulvic Acid pills (per my nutritionist), which have anti-viral properties. So, the experiment is afoot! I will post any results accordingly.

But please, keep the advice coming. I'll try almost anything. :)
