I don't mean to be flippant, however I respectfully submit that the bible has many mythical constructs that fill it's pages. I suspect you will be able to quote chapter and verse to back up your assertion, however if it is fiction or allegory to begin with, turning fantasy into 'truth' after the fact doesn't mean it really happened...
