Some of the terms, like 'karma' are eastern in original but the meaning is universal. The original teachings of Jesus contained much that was common with Buddhism and Hinduism, as he traveled through Persia, India and Tibet during his 'lost years', before he began his ministry in Palestine.

Unfortunately, most of those ideas were edited out of Christianity...
