Do you know the time frame? Pre Islam was harsh, nomadic tribes strayed from the path of the Abrahamic faith, that is why Prophet M'hamad came to that area and purified it with His ( Gods guidance and grace) Light, the same Light He ( God) gave sweet Jesus, may Peace be upon them both.
