I'm also reading a book by Paavo Airola about juice fasting.. It strikes me that the idea behind fasting is to give your digestive system a break so that it can use it's energy to rid the body of toxins, and so that everything else being equal, juice fasting is superior because the body recieves nutrition, but the digestive system gets the same amount of rest as in a water fast.. Dunno if thats true or not though...
In my case the goal of fasting would be to cleanse the body, as I'm not looking to lose weight..
I think the 1 day fast might be ideal - eating lunch one day and nothing until lunch the next day.. Bedrest for me isn't an option with my work...
