Re: wheatgrass

Hi. I can not drink wheat grass juice straight. If I do, I vomit. But, I have found that If I mix it in a carrot, parsley, apple, ginger, beet, Celery juice combo that I do great. I started at 1 ounce and gradually increased it up to 4 ounces a day. By working up, I did not have any reactions. As to wheat grass causing allergies, it is alive and sprouted, full of enzymes. I am allergic to wheat in bread or any type of flour product. But because the wheat is alive and full of enzymes that my body can break down, I can drink it without any problems as long as I mix it in other juices. When I was in college I drank this every morning. I filled a large glass and sipped on it whenever I felt tired or unable to focus. It gave me lots of enegry, took away my pain of fibromyalgia, took away any hunger pains, seemed to mellow out my blood sugar, and I was able to pass the RN program with A's and B's.

I just started planting wheat grass for juicing at home and its now about 4" high.

Good luck and feel free to ask questions.
