Hi Sheldon,
The news I recieved from my GI specialist yesterday was not very good. He is very concerned that I haven't responded to the prednisone and informed me that medication is the strongest he can offer me as an outpatient. In other words he wanted to hospitalize me and start me on intervenius steriods and if I dont respond to this treatment surgery to remove my colon is the next option. I managed to talk him out of hospitals before the long weekend promising if I degressed I would check in on my own. He stated my blood work looked good but my weight droped another 5 lbs in a week. A total of 20 lbs in the last month (not good)since I only weigh 155 lbs now. He says we must get the inflammation under control because my condition is now life threatening. I informed him also of the diet I was on and he again stated diet has little to do with my condition but he didn't object. I didn't however tell him of the vitaimin E enemas in fear he would tell me to discontinue the procedure. I have no pain in my abdomin area which confused the GI during his external exam. My next appontment is Tuesday for another scope if my condition hasn't changed I'm being admited under his care which in some ways scare me. I want very much for this diet and procedure to work it seems like a last resort before I let the conventional medical system swallow me up. I'm very conforted and encouraged by others testimonies on this forum that you have helped and will not forget the support and care you have for others no matter the outcome.
I keep you posted, Eric
