this probably isn't the problem, but just thought i would ask, just in case.

have you ever been on steroids of any kind? including nasal sprays, steroid cream, etc. if you have, then your facial edema could very well be caused from the side effects of the steroids. if the dr. tells you that you have allergies and he wants to put you on nasal spray, refuse it. you are only supposed to use it short term, and even then you can still get some pretty scary side effects from it.
