I know how you feel about not wanting to go out, etc. I feel the same way almost every day... and my mood is directly dependant on how bad or good my face looks that day. Water does help clean things out, and eating properly (ie, trying to avoid sugars). Otherwise, keep trying new things until you figure out what works (I know I am).
Also, just try to be a good person to others. Try not to let it get you too far down so that you're bordering on Depression (which I was for awhile). Try to exercise too (even if its just walking), that will hopefully help with your skin and keep you upbeat. Surround yourself with people who love you and don't care what your skin looks like. Keeps me updated on how it goes.
