Re: About forgiveness and wounds

That is a very poignant personal story. Thanks for sharing it. Yes, I agree it's not microwave magic. I think that it takes time for the Lord to unravel the works of darkness in our lives that keep us bound. It's like peeling the layers of an onion. But God is faithful, as you said, and worthy of our trust. He's the only One who knows the proper order in which to take care of our issues and bring healing.

Re the healing/forgiveness thing - I think that we have to have His grace to even be able to forgive, especially in cases like what you speak of. At times we just do it by faith. But even that, it can be a process over time.

I apologize if I said anything in my posts that would sound condemning if you or someone did not whip out perfect forgiveness RIGHT NOW!! My point is that Jesus did say that we needed to do it so that WE could be released from the tormentors. So, when I lead people in prayer to forgive people in their lives, it's VERY healing and then we move into deliverance. People feel set free from things that have been insurmountable all their lives. It's wonderful and an event.

Thanks for sharing in your post. Take care, C
