The coconut meat are shredded into very fine pieces, a little water is than added, and milk, "Santa" is obtained by straining the shredded+water through a piece of cheese cloth.The Santan is than used for cooking into rice , curry dishes .
Santan is not from the tin.Santan is virgin straight from the coconut. So the question is, does Santan has the same value as coconut oil?
