What should stools look like

I have a question: What should normal stools look like. I have heard your stools should be light and airy and float on top of the water. But than I heard somewhere either on this website or another, your stools should sink. I get confused what the color should be as well. I am having gall bladder problem, nothing severe i know stones exist my pain happens every 3-6 months sometimes more often.. Tweet
