I am sure they would be very gratful to still be alive. I have several family members who are still alive today because of the advances that have been made in medicine...I also have several family members (a couple of them are the same people) who have nearly (and who have actually) lost their lives due to medial
ignorance. I have family who have been outright harmed by medical
intervention/invention (putting my own iron supplement story aside - my cousin's nervous system is now permanently damaged from a vaccination he received as an infant and a father who's brain has been altered in unknown ways because of psychosurgical experiments that used to be done for "behavior modification").


The "knife" cuts both ways when it comes to supporting or deriding both modern or alternative medical approaches. They both have their usefulness and they both have their problems. Keep an open mind and do your homework.

I try to do only what feels right for me and respect the choices other have made for themselves...even it is not the choice I feel I would have made. Granted some do not have that choice, but for the most part we do...and I intend to take full advantage of the choices I do have. Closed minded approaches from either side of the issue can only hurt, not help. With much respect to both sides of the issue,
