Re: Christ was NOT unique but a pagan rip-off

Nero,

If the gospels were plagiarized from earlier pagan myths, where is the hard evidence?

"That is why he is presented as being..." Since you seem to be aware that He was not actually born on, nor did He die on, these pagan dates, but was "presented as" such, why would you choose to perpetuate that myth? Maybe you should be railing against those who manufactured this other "garbled version of pagan allegories of the Soul"?

We're aware that much of the truth of history has been "revised"...we even see it happening every day all around us in our own cultures. Just ask any minority or oppressed people and you'll get a completely different view of "history". So what's to prevent the same "revision" from occurring where scriptural validity is concerned? The same power that attempts to wipe out the true history of the Hebrews attempts to do the same elsewhere (whose ancient history textbooks/classes in the public educational system ever explained that the Egyptians used slaves and that their slaves were Hebrew?). How often do we ever get any real news via modern media outlets?

You seem to make broad, sweeping announcements with little or nothing to back them up, aside from your own seeming grandiose authoritarianism, oh great one.
