Re: What do Christians believe about inerrancy?

I think to ask for the whole forum description to change in order to explore different takes on a given subject, is to have the cart pull the horse.
I do not wish to be a part of the name slinging club, and if my posts have reflected any of that in the past I truly apologize, but I have seen an awful lot of that here. What I honestly don't understand is why with all the new and promising forums that have been graciously opened up for us, why it is that everyone still insists on coming here for extra-Biblical themes.
It seems like a discussion centering on the possibilities of a flawed Bible, would do very well indeed in forums such as God Without Religion Discussion Forum, God Without Religion Debate Forum, Gnosticism Forum, Progressive Christianity Forum . Places where the very title clearly implies that the belief system allows for the existence of God or a supreme being, just not within the confines of Biblical Christianity.
These very interesting discussions could be taking place right now, with the inclusion of like-minded, inquisitive and knowledgeable individuals, without causing anyone any discomfort. Interestingly, these other forums are receiving very little if any use. Hmmmn....what a waste of web real estate.
