recommendations for getting rid of toenail fungus?

can any one help with this? my husband has one toe (the big toe) infected with it for the last year or so - the doctor recommended Lamasil - but also mentioned the possible side affects (liver damage) - he has been putting it off - and finally asked me to ask the "curezone"! thought that was great since he has been rather skeptical of the site and herbal healing in general. although his acid reflux has completely gone away since i told him to take apple cider vinegar 15 minutes before eating dinner every night - he hasn't had one attack of it since - so he's been a little more open to the more natural approach to self healing than in the beginning.
