Some of those spin type juicers can be a PIA to clean. If you're still interested in juicing check out the Champion juicer at championjuicer.com. They been around forever and have pretty much been the standard juicer for many years.
I recently had to get a replacement part for mine which I bought used in the late 70's. When I gave them the serial number they told me my machine was built around 1959! The original design has hardly changed and I was able to use the new parts. You should be able to find a Champion at most health food stores.
Vegie juices don't keep very long even when refrigerated. The best you can do is make the juice for a day. I've been reading about a fairly new juicer called the Green Machine that spins at a slower speed thus not generating as much heat which starts the oxydation process and they claim that the juice will keep for 3 or 4 days. The catch is that the machine costs around $400!!
