i don't know WHAT's gonna' happen. i'm too disgusted to become a citizen so that i can vote, because so what? votes just don't seem to count anymore. but i guess that was probably part of the agenda and the message they sent last time around when they proved that it IS feasible to win the popular vote and lose the election. what to do? at this juncture, i'm too scared of going to apply for citizenship. when i married a few years back and went to have my name changed on my socoal security card, my name was "tagged" because the stupid government employee clerk who was "handling" my case suspected i was carrying a fake green card (you need to present your green card when dealing with the government). i need that like i need a hole in my head. i haven't even bothered going to INS to change the name on my green card because of what happened then. i'm just too scared. i'm pretty sure Big Brother is watching as it is, considering the web sites my husband and i frequent, and the magazine subscriptions we get (the Nation, etc.), so i dare not stir the waters... but you guys do the right thing - go vote!
