In the wake of my ultra-conservative in-laws visit, I was just itching to ask them, whenever the subject was broached, "Can you name a single positive thing Bush has done for us regular Joes?". But I knew it would cause a conflict. But seriously, HAS he done anything positive? I know we can banter for a lifetime about all the ignominious things he has done, from cutting welfare benefits, to limiting our civil rights, to bottoming out the economy. But, as the saying goes, the sun shines even on a dog's ass. So I'm curious, does ANYONE, republican, democrat, liberal, conservative, transvestite, white supremacist, whatever, know of a POSITIVE contribution this man has made? Like rudenski, I believe people are innately good, but too easily corrupted. Perhaps he's done something that originally had good intentions to it, but it went wrong when his campaign contributors got a whiff of it? Or perhaps I'm just having an adverse reaction to my new allergy meds?
