saline enema

I am always forgeting what the proper mixture for a proper saline enema solution

Is it one table spoon of salt per 2 qts of water or 2 tablespoons per 2 qts of water.
My guess is it's one teaspoon per 1 qt of water----that makes it 2 teaspoons per 2 qts of water OR one tablespoon per 2 qts..

Is it the same for soda?

I think I read in the enema recipes section, it was two teasponns of soda for one qt. of water making it 4 teaspoons for 2 qts of water. Is this right?

OR is soda considered the same as salt far as proper ballance goes. Tweet
