Re: Folks Lets be Fair
I've been directly involved with 3 MLMs and M*******h is one of the best, by reputation and by my experience.
The restaurant analogy for eating out versus at home is apt. The same with paying for a good hotel rather than a flea joint. If you cannot afford dining out at all, of course stay home. In fact, plant a garden. But those who say they cannot eat out probably have
Cell Phone s, at $40 a month, plus cable TV. It's a matter of choices.
Research indicates that our forefathers probably ate more healthy food than we buy at the grocery (except that I do appreciate food safety guarantees). But I don't have time for gardening except in very limited terms.
Having visited M*******h's labs, I am content to trust their quality control, given my biophysics research background.
M*******h's profits are not extreme. An analysis of retail marketing shows how much markup occurs along the distribution pathway for nearly all products sold in America. It may be true, as suggested on this forum, that competition (despite patent protection) will force Manantech prices down.
And a technical question: are we sure that M*******h merely physically mixes the ingredients it purchases? Unless someone has published mass-spectrometry on A*****ose, we don't know the relative mix of mono-, di-, and short and long-chain polysaccharides in it. Therefore, it is possible to claim too much concerning intestinal action and absorption, relative to the question whether SCFA mechanisms (as opposed to glycoprotein synthesis) alone explain A*****ose's effects.
I think it is very reasonable for M*******h to maintain some information in a proprietary manner. This as a business practice is usually far from being protective of ignorance, but instead indicates prudence in business management concerning technology. My brother did industrial chemistry for 35 years -- lots of information was a company secret.
BTW, I respect and appreciate all opinions expressed on this forum. It is rich.
