Re: need actual information, not promotion.

Hello fortunyc : I thought I would respond to your post and add to it. First of all you need to narrow your criticism on a particular M*******h product. You stated: "In fact the M*******h supplements contain three things: Mannapol, Arabinogalactan and Glucosamine." Which M*******h Supplement are you referring to? There are over 20 M*******h products. Those "three things" you stated are: 1). Mannapol is M*******h's name for the Aloe Vera extract which contains one of the key sacharides (sugars), Mannose. 2). "Arabinogalactans are water-soluble polysaccharides widely found in plants, fungi and bacteria. They are comprised of D-galactose and L-arabinose residues in the form of a beta-D-(1-3)-galactan main chain with side chains made up of galactose and arabinose units of various lengths. Galactan itself is a polymer of galactose." 3). Glucose is the other sacharide that helps fuel the body. Glucose IS ABSORBED in the Intestine. Do google search on "glucose absorption in the intestine." (You're right, your girlfriend is a biology researcher that still needs to do a bit more researching.) You are confusing the terminologies. Please read the following of what is glyconutrients: What are Gylconutrients? "The Greek word "glyco" means "sweet". So "glyconutrient" means "sweet nutrient", or a dietary nutrient composed of a sugar. Recent scientific research has shown that eight simple dietary sugars (monosaccharides), most of which are no longer found in abundance in the standard modern diet, are now known to form the very words of life at the cellular level. These sugars combine with proteins and fats to create glycoforms that coat the surface of virtually every cell in the body. Glycoforms function as cellular recognition molecules that communicate the messages a body needs to function in health. These eight sugars are mannose, gluxose, galactose, xylose, fucose, N-acetylglucosamine, N-acetylglucosamine, and N-acetylneuraminic acid. You can read more about each by clicking glyconutrients. Only glucose and galactose are found commonly in our diet. Being deficient in six of those sugars and eventually our cells will be lacking the symbols(glycoforms) needed for cellular communication." Refer to www.glycoscience.org for more scientific research on glyconutrients and the study of glycobiology. Knowledge is enlightment.
