I wonder if those who can't stand all the Sugar in coke (for whatever reason) would be able
to get some benefit from a close cousin to Epsom Salts ...
How about "Brioschi" a calcium and magnesium free alternative to some of the gerd meds.

It is OTC and quite cheap (about $5 for 8 ounces of crystals) It tastes a bit like soda water but some
say worse. :(

Oh well... no pain ... NO gain!
