Re: Scheduled for surgery, HELP ME

like you, i've had 2 bad attacks before i knew what was really wrong with me. my ultrasound and blood tests showed that i had "no stones", but my gall bladder (gb) was infected. i was given Antibiotics , but was told that if i have another attack, my gb will have to be surgically removed. of course, my first question was, how would life be without a gb? and the doctor said that life without a gb is no different from one with a gb, except that there'll be no more gb pains. i accepted it at the time, but thought that surely my case couldn't be that bad to require surgery because i had no stones, but why should i live the rest of my life minus one vital organ that God had put there for a certain purpose i was sure. so i searched (the internet) and came across this website (and i'm still thanking God for that!).

yes, i read through this forum and took note of other people's flush experiences -- some painful, some not -- and i was also a little afraid. i mentally prepared myself for the worst (but praying at the same time that my first flush would go okay). i was going to try the flush rather than be operated on and live the rest of my life without a gb -- that's the thought i put in my mind. yes, the Epsom Salts and lemon juice/olive oil mixtures tasted horrible, really horrible, but certainly tasting them was a lot, lot better than lying on the operating table, having my gb removed, living life without a gb, etc., etc. in other words, Bellyache, give it a try. there's nothing to fear, but fear itself, right?

i'm going to have my 3rd flush this weekend (i do them at 2-week intervals), and i've had no attacks/pain ever since after my 1st flush. i've been passing stones every flush. i'm feeling a lot, lot better, and my hubby and friends also say i look healthier nowadays (no more dark circles under my eyes). i also watch what i eat now (i still eat fatty food, though, but in very small amounts now). and, of course, i keep claiming His promise that "He heals all my diseases." nowadays, whenever i remember the song "thank you, Lord, for saving my soul," i replace the word "soul" with "gall bladder."

i hope what i've shared here has encouraged you, bellyache, to give the flush a try. also remember that our friends in this forum are always here to help.

God bless,
malou
