That is not the WHOLE truth or even close to ALL of the facts. Do some research, check out the DOD website/releases
There have been many instances of soldiers being counted as a "casualty of war" even if it was from something such as a land accident or a friendly misfire...
Every one of our soldiers are accounted for, when one of them dies they don't just fall of the books somehow, there is an accountability process...families are notified before anyone else but after that it is public record.
