BushCo wants us to see the torture so that WE KNOW WE ARE NEXT IF WE GET IN THEIR WAY.

Domination tactic needs fear, and to instill fears, we see pictures of actual torture, and we must know that it can happen to us [Mahar Arar, etc].

What the Marines are willing to do is "whatever it takes". Same for Bushyboy. There is no limit to what they will do to achieve their goals.And they want us to know that, not for our protection or peace of mind, but for control.
