Re: wow, The Mother Of All replies, #11928, Iraq
We don't get much talk of Iraq from a personal view, of one individual just speaking for himself.
And, in this land of media control, we cannot put any stake in what we hear on T.V. [I'm one of the smart ones].
#11928 , I am glad you posted that. I have never heard from anyone what life under Saddam was like, especially a christian.
And you have nothing bad to say of it, he never hurt you personally. I suspected many Iraqis were living okay.
Maybe there was less of an income gap, less real poverty, than we, over here, believed there was, under Saddam? - or were people dying of hunger and illness in the streets, under Saddam?
And, perhaps, less hardships than there is going to be if America has its way and turns Iraq into a free market capitalist state? [I am in favour of socialist, humanist government myself].
The first post in this thread will get its own reply from me in a minute.
I am also glad to hear you also have heard that Bushes and bin Ladens, and Saddam are old friends :"saddam and bin laden both went to the same college which bush senior was their teacher"
The Bushes are one of the main "contacts" in Arab lands, I suspect - they must have a lock on deal making there, lots of friends they do business with.
Money money... money that buys Bushes the elections, money for terrorists too. But they need Arab friends, like Bin Laden and Saddam. Lotsa money. Never for the people, allways war.
Those friends keep the war going, and the oil flowing.
With war and deep hatred for ethnic and religious differences, the worst traits in mankind will remain active. How can the average person learn to live in peace? 0, we allready do - even you did as a christian in Iraq.
I think Bush and Saddam and bin Laden are all stooges, for the top powers that have the real power.
There may be a bigger plan too, maybe they all believe in creating an Apocalypse in the yr.2012
Fundamentalist christians, fundamentalist muslims - do they share any of these bizzare ideas? Maybe you hear the other side of it, from Iraq? just wondering.... Do you know about "the New World Order" when you were in Iraq? Or since you got here?
I am not a christian myself, but I did go to church and so on as a youth - was there a Church for christians to go to in Iraq?
Were you threatened for being christian? did any one know you were? We hear things...
It is great to hear from you, #person, in the Aggression OnIraq forum especially!
