Re: anything else to get rid of bacteria?

Don't know why, but I'm thinking cinnamon water rinse? I have heard and read about cinnamom being an excellent [antioxidant] I believe (?)

Maybe bring some water near a boil, turn off the flame and drop some ground cinnamon or cinnamon sticks and let steep like a tea, maybe add a little essential oil, then let cool and use as a last rinse.

Also, is your hair long? are you drying at least the roots? If long: do you let it dry before tying?

Why do you think it is bacteria? Maybe you have a lot of hair and the water is what smells. Much like laundry that is not quite dry, and gets folded without noticing then you put a piece on and as soon as it warms up - Uffff!

Maybe you can soften the water [a little borax(kills mold)]

Colloidal Silver spray may also help - it is not too expensive and you could spray the roots?

I have been trying cloroxigen 18 drops w/water daily and have been deodorant free for 3 whole days! Maybe that would help?

Just thinking with you, I will take a look around and see if I come up with some more solid information. I did read a post in this forum about a girl that was using cinnamon on her hair and her underarms started smelling like cinnamon, so - yes I think it is worth a try. Wrenn has some recipes in her site (look at the websites listed at the top of the home page)

Hope you find an answwer...
