the yellow clumps is called tonsilitis. the yellow clumps from my experience is caused by the things i eat. in my case, the yellow clumps are food debris collected in my throat because when i brush my teeth, floss, tongue clean, and hack out mucous, i sometimes notice food debris from my meal. the type of foods that is bad for me are starchy foods like pastries, tarts, eggs, chips, etc. yellow clump is also possibly due to mucous build-up, especially if you have post nasal drip. i have postnasal drip and i have read that mucous creates tonsilitis especially when your mucous drips down your throat... hopes this was helpful.
