Stools being pale in color or clay colored means that the bile is backed up in the liver. So you are O.K. there. If your not having pancreatic pain or messed up blood Sugar then it isn't going into the pancreas. But, since you are not digesting fats, then the bile is probably leaving the liver and going into the gallbladder but isn't being properly concentrated by it..the gallbladder dehydrates and concetrates the bile by up to 9x it's original strength. So the problem is concentration or contraction. The gallbladder may not be contracting properly (because of stones, sludge, inflamation, infection, parasites,etc..) and releasing the bile into your stomache at the right strength and time. You can check if this is the problem by taking bile salts (ox bile) and seeing if the absorption improves. Then you will know if the flushes will fix the problem. Make sure you take enough bile salts for the amount of fat you are eating. I find I have to take double the recommended dosage.
