1. Fast until you do eliminate. Just broth, water, herbal tea, lemonade with molasses instead of sugar, fresh-squeezed veggie juice, kefir, yogurt, and lots of it. At least 60 ounces a day, but start out slowly and build up if you've neglected to drink water up until now. Cokes and coffee don't count as fluids and should be avoided.

2. Get a series of colonics.

3. Start comprehensive bowel management, not just fiber, not just laxatives, but a good combination of lifestyle changes including diet, exercise, and changing the position that you void as much as possible. You ahve to be squatting or holding onto a rope over your head to put your colon in the right position for voiding. Dr. Bernard Jensen 's book is online here, it's a great reference.

4. Cleanse the liver also. A weak liver produces no bile, and bile is one of the things that promotes peristaltic action. If you've ever been a drinker or pill popper, whether they were Tylenol or prescription drugs, or eaten tons of deep-fried foods, then you've congested your liver and it has to be changed. We change swimming pool filters and car filters but never our own!

5. Castor oil - one spoonful before bed. Cod liver oil - one spoonful - every morning before breakfast.

That will get you off to a good start, but there will be more things you'll have to do! Feel free to visit me in the "Ask Shelley' forum if you run into problems.
