Re: Unable to go & frustrated!
Hello Flowerlady,
I have been able to overcome my own constipation problem with the use of ground flax seeds. Specifically ground golden organic flax seeds. I've had chronic constipation for a month short of a year, due to a back injury, so I don't know how applicable my situation is to most other chornic constipation sufferers but I just know that ground flax seed has returned me to a state of regular movements, several times a day, and it just took me under a day to adjust to the flax seed program. You can read the post that I came across that educated me of the flax seed method at:

Thank you, Owen!

Basically, I take a total of five tablespoons of ground flax seed a day. I use a small coffee bean/spice grinder to grind two tablespoons in the morning for a small breakfast and three at night, an hour or so before bed. I mix the freshly ground flax seed with fruit juice, usually cranberry. When mixed with water, ground flax seed doesn't taste good at all in my opinion but when mixed with fruit juices, it takes on a pleasant nutty flavour. I like the flax seed method because it's a great source of both soluable and insoluable fiber as well as Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
I hope you give flax seed a try, Flowerlady, and that it yields successful results.
