Re: Hemorrhoids after starting colon cleanse

Well, since I have a history of thrombosed hemmorhoids when they come back they are NOT nice. In case you've never experienced them, it is impossible to push them back up - they are just rock hard and in my case, so painful I can barely walk.
I did not know of any natural therapies except for sitz baths, witch hazel compresses, which DO in fact help but if you were in my situation, you need something quick especially if you have to go to work!
The ONLY thing that has helped me in the past was a hydrocortisone suppository that the doctor called in for me (Anusol HC is the name). It is much stronger than the ones you buy over the counter. Any doctor should be able to call one in for you to get you past this crisis. Luckily, I had some called in for me and the next day, the pain was significantly less and by about 3-4 days later they were gone.

I am now through cleansing with Colonix and have not had a single hemorrhoid since that initial flare up! Praise God for that! I think I had so much plaque and build up that when I started cleansing and that junk started moving south, it put a lot of pressure on my hemorrhoids and thus caused the flare.

I normally would not recommend prescriptions since this is a natural therapies site, HOWEVER, sometimes desperate situations warrant desperate measures and I don't think there is anything wrong with using some conventional therapies to get over a healing crisis and then focusing on prevention thereafter.
