What is a natural treatment to shrink hemorrhoids?

Hi

Since having my cancer treatments i have developed hemorrhoids for the first time in my life.
Can anyone tell me what a good natural remedy would be to shrink them?
My doctor gave me an expensive prescription, but it doesn't work that well.
I have read that witch hazel may do the trick or lemon juice "ouch".
