Re: afraid to die
Dear Winken,
I know my words may seem harsh, but I don't know how else to say what is in my heart.
Your daughter is afraid to die. Yet it is a reality. We all die.
You say your family is Christian and very spiritual.
It makes me wonder why she is so afraid of death, as it ends the physical and begins the spiritual.
Is she afraid of judgement, punishment?
As for the angels... You talk of them like someone will recognise them from the description given
and say "Oh yeah! I remember those guys"
The way I look at it is kinda like physics.
If you want to move a small object, a small effort will do it.
For a larger object you need more power.
Your daughters resistance to the first angel made the appearence of the 2nd angel necessary.
The second angel had to be bigger, more powerful to be able to handle all the resistance your
daughter created. (In a way, she created him)
Your daughter really needs to sit down and think about what she believes. Especially about life after death.
About God, and what God is like.
About her own earthly father, how he may be coloring her ideas/beliefs about God, her heavenly father.
"Will anyone of you hand your child a stone when he asks for bread?
Or a serpent, when he asks for fish?
How much MORE will your heavenly father give GOOD gifts to his children."
I parapharsed, but you get the gist.
For her to be so afraid... I keep thinking that her idea of God is not that of a loving father.
I hope this helps and wish her well.
Blessings, Marj
