Re: flaxseed oil and soymilk for breast cancer

i work in combination with holistic doctors and nutritionists, using their dietary guidelines for specific patients (i do cooking for people, many of whom are challenging disease, cancer especially, my training is in healing foods, all natural, organic, raw & living foods, juicing etc.)

from my experience, Breast Cancer patients are usually taken off of all dairy products, when using more holistic treatments.

so the budwig formula has thrown me for a loop! her research and findings are remarkable, and i do believe in the successes people are having with it. using only organic dairy foods is imperative, as opposed to factory farm dairy foods.

i am currently looking for info on non-dairy foods which have the similarity to the "sulphur based protein" (ie: cottage cheese or quark as dr. budwig recommends).

as an experiment on myself (i don't have cancer)i had been using the cottage cheese/flax combination for the past 2 weeks. i really enjoy eating it (and i love pierce's recipe ideas for people who don't like the flavor) but i'm getting bad reactions to it, i think because its been so long since i ate dairy!

i like to mix flax oil with hummus, blending it in the cuisinart until the flax completely assimilates into the hummus. i add some fresh lemon & garlic too (garlic is rich in sulphur compounds), for dipping veggies & rice crackers. i think i'll stick to those combo's until i learn more about where to find a sulphur-based protein from the vegetable kingdom! maybe your aunt would want to try those recipes. i do agree with an earlier post about fermented soy being the best forms to eat. be careful to read labels and buy only natural products (some miso is made with m.s.g. and other yucky stuff)

i'll keep posting anything i learn, in hopes of making the benefits of the budwig formula available to people who are lactose intolerant, or vegans, or people who simply choose not to eat dairy.

wishes of radiant health to everyone on the curezone path... this is a wonderful meeting place & informational resource!!

in peace~ susan
