I agree with both Daizy and Lapis. I, personally, do think there is going to be a massive shift in consciousness. I know that when I look at society on the whole, there don't seem to be many people who know about or believe this, although there are MANY that will admit to feeling that "something is changing" or "things can't go on like this". I've "known" that this was coming since I was in grade school, before I could even effectively put words to it. I have no idea how I knew.... but I could FEEL it coming (sorry, I can't do better than that at describing it). When I got older and started reading (long before the internet) and came across various books describing the Shift, it just confirmed what I already knew to be true. I really have NO idea how it will "play out" on a physical level in linear time......but I think that is the LEAST important aspect of all of this (although the ego would argue that it is what is MOST important). As we "awaken" our surroundings will change because there is really nothing "out there"...... all we are seeing around us is the outpicturing of our thoughts and beliefs. The only place where I differ with what Lapis said is that I don't see it as being any form of "evolution"...... it is simply a REMEMBERING of what we already are and have always been. We are already in this "state" (our natural state of Oneness)...... all that's going to happen is that all thoughts and beliefs and situations that SEEM to block and obscure that Oneness are going to drop away. Regardless of what things will "look like" around us, we will be at peace. If you think of it as endless levels or dimensions and feel that we need to "climb" some kind of spiritual ladder, that is just the ego convincing us that there is a "process" or that we need to do something and that it will take TIME. Really, it is just a recognition of what we already are. And it doesn't take any time to be what you already are. So in that sense, to focus on 2012 isn't overly "useful". There is always only NOW.
