Hemorrhoids are veriscose veins, but instead of in the legs they occur in the anus area. The most common cause is constipation due to poor bile secretion. Oftentimes, the hydrochloric acid (HCL) from the stomach does not get neutralized as it passes from the stomach into the intestines and ends up strongly irritating the colon walls, weakening peristalsis and waste removal. On the other hand, not producing enough HCL can also slow digesiton. Eating a lot of acid-forming foods also cause hemorrhoids. They can be very painful and obstructive.
