A lot of the preemies and immunocompromised kids where I used to work (major university hospital) would get RSV during the months of November to April in middle Tennessee. It was called RSV season. It was very contagious. We had to gown, glove and mask whenever entering their rooms. I think I even got it one year. It was absolutely NASTY - the mucous would turn into plugs like nothing I had ever seen before - long before my Curezone days and quest for improved health. The mucous plugs were one of the fears of the hospital staff where the kids were concerned.
