scar tissue by duodenum opening

What if there is scar tissue right where the "V" is (the gallbladder and pancreas sphincter)? My husband is afraid to do a first flush now for fear of a stone getting stuck there--although the stones were said to be only 6mm on the ultra scan back in Oct. Of couse, he's been taking everything that's been recommended for softening them since end of Oct. Drs think the scar tissue was caused by ulcers in the past, but this sphincter keeps narrowing with the scar tissue, even though the doctors have stretched it twice. Last time was Dec. 22. No, a stent wasn't placed in him afterall, thankfully, as it could cause bleeding. GB still filled with pus (inflamation). Please any advice, Andreas. Thank you.
