Re: Are these worms????

hi there..they are NOT worms IT is lichen planus. There is no cure for lichen planus it goes away on its own. Do not peel white stuff off it will cause mouth ulcers. Do not use colgate toothpaste or mouthwashes or anything with alchohol in it. Switch to a herbal toothpaste and mouthwash. For the pain swish around a salt and water rinse and try to de stress. I got lichen planus when very stressed out about several health problems i was having and i was scratching the white stuff which caused a sore in my mouth which they biopsied to make sure it was not cancer...300 dollars later they said it was not cancer and another dr said it was lichen planus. It is really something you have to self treat...I truly believe it is caused by stress agravvated by bad toothpastes. Mine has come back several times but i can now beware of it and change my habits to keep it at bay. It is REALLY annoying so i like to prevent it rather then treat it. GOOD LUCK! ps have her look in her mouth in the morning before doing any oral care...it will sort of look like a weird white stringy pattern kinda like a spider web...that is lichen planus. it is tempting to peel the little white strings and it can seem like your skin is peeling off. it is a form or your body attacking its own cells being mistaken as a enemy in your body.
here is a photo of lichen planus on the cheek but it can be on gums toungue etc..
