Side Effects of Colon Cleansing

Just did a Colon Cleanse with 2-3 weeks of IF#1. I was having great bowel movements -- maybe 4or 5 a day. I normally have a very sluggish bowel. As far as my timing, I was doing it around my period and the day before my period came, actually a couple of hours before, I noticed I got a terrible anxiety type feeling. Looking back to August, the last time I cleansed, I realized the same effect came as well. The question is, what is the connection? Is it a loss of minerals or the parasites acting up? Any help would be appreciated because now I am afraid to cleanse because the anxiety was really bad...I had it for around 5 or 6 days after. Both times. Tweet
