Re: Ptree, have bowel cleanse question

Hi Cathay,

There are a number of characteristics present when the bowel has been well cleansed, provided that a healthy Diet is consumed that is void or low in mucoid-forming foods. The bowels will move 2-3 times per day...usually shortly after a meal has been eaten. The quantity of feces tends to be greater as it contains more moisture and therefore less compressed. The stool passes from the body very easily with no straining and is neither runny or mushy. It is smooth and cylindrical in shape, walnut brown in color (unless the diet contains a significant quantity of carrots, beets, greens, etc. that result in corresponding colors). It has little or no odor, and generally exits the body in one long piece...not smaller pieces lumped together. The feces are fully formed, initially float and then slowly submerge, and should begin to crumble when the toilet is flushed. Once cleansed, the colon can maintain a high concentration of healthy flora...which is not possibile in a toxic colon.

The addition of psyllium along with the Bentonite is very effective... provided sufficient water is consumed. The psyllium adds additional bulk and acts as a broom to sweep the loosened material from the walls of the intestines. You can tell how you're progressing WHEN ON THE CLEANSE by the absence of very dark, hard, ropey material and no intermingling of colors within the stool, the shape will be smooth and cylindrical and the frequency of movements will decline towards a more normal range.

Since mucoid plaque is a breeding ground for parasites, a parasite cleanse is usually more effective towards the end of a Colon Cleanse or immediately after it has been performed.

coffee enemas are more cleansing for the liver than the colon. An enema generally only reaches to the sigmoid colon, although any enema will stimulate the reflexes to evacuate the bowel. coffee enemas are used to cleanse the liver because there is an area within the colon...accessible with the enema...where absorption takes place and is redirected back to the liver. This is one of the reasons that it is so important to do a Colon Cleanse first because if congestion is present released toxins can be reabsorbed at this point before they are able to exit the body. Coffee is also a mild diuretic which can contribute to dehydration and cause constipation or a sluggish colon. If you want to clear the colon it is better to use purified or distilled water for this purpose. It is not necessary to hold it either.

Make sure you are drinking enough water...that is one of the main contributing factors to constipation or slower transit time. You might also want to pay attention to what you are eating in the afternoon and evening. More mucoid-forming foods (ie. dairy, meat, sugar, white flour, processed foods, etc.) will make the stool more sticky and slow the transit time.

The weather in Chicago is still pretty mild, although you can definitely feel autumn in the air. It sure beats the chill I got when I logged on to the board this evening...all the way to the bone! I'm most grateful for those that have been supportive...including yourself.

Regards,
Pam ; )
