Re: Salvia and interdimensional travel

psychedelics affect the mind in a way that is really beyond our current comprehension. i took mushrooms last weekend, and while i will probably never take psychedelics again, it was an amazing experience. i went up north, were you could see all the stars, with a friend of mine. i remember seeing the stars faintly bouncing around - it was cool. i think these types of drugs allow us to see mater for what it really is - energy.

also, the conscious mind is in a hyperactive state - it is racing constantly. when i was watching the Matrix last night, when you see the agents moving really fast (with the tracers and such), it reminded me of psychedelics in that in this state the mind also races. so maybe, just maybe, when you take psychedelics the mind races so fast and the eyes dialate so wide that you experience a slowed state of perception of matter - hence, the tracers that people normally see (often called hallucinations) in these experiences.

the most phenomenal effects of psychedelics are within the mind and are purely subjective expriences - or are they? i experienced telepathy with my friend that night on the mushrooms. i've always been very sensitive / highly observant of other people, but when we were peaking i noticed that my inner voice was in a constant dialog. i didn't even second guess myself at the time. i was in such a high state of awareness that i knew what was happening. neither my friend nor i were talking, and we were both sitting in his car. i just started making comments vocally to him directly about the inner dialog i was experiencing. he started to get really uncomfortable after a while. in my mind, the subject of a girl that we both know came up - and i asked him "are you thinking of Ashley?". "Yes". that, by far, was the most amazing experience for me. i experienced an inner dialog about a very particular subject / individual, tested the accuracy of my perception by vocally asking for validation - and receiving acknowledgement!

as far as psychedelic damaging the body - i'm sure it has some effects. but, psychedelics are not taken that often to begin with. alcohol, by far, is a more potentially damaging drug as it kills every type of cell in the body. Time Leary took more LSD than just about everyone, and he lived well into his eighties. that's farther than i want to go... )
