I don't think your nuts at all. In fact I think you are very sane. The experience you describe is one that many people try to achieve. Sounds like you had a glimpse of unity consciousness. A temporary enightenment.

The really awesome realization comes when you know that you are God and that it is an egoic illusion that you are not...(that you are seperate). This is the pattern that most humans are currently in known as duality consciousness. Christ consiousness is achieved when you raise consciousness to the level of being aware of your true nature, that you are God.

A very great audio book (that can be downloaded and listened to) is Eckart Tolle's.."The Power Of Now" which you could get from audible.com if your interested. Very profound and conscious raising.
