What kind of DJ's you around? On air personalities or club jocks. I did both for much of my early life.

For photography software,Adobe Photoshop Elements si a good blend of tools. Jasq paintshop pro 8 is even better and of course Adobe Photoshop 7 is the cadilac of programs but the price is somewhat dear on the latter. I'm such a freak I have them all along with a ton of 3rd party filters and photoshop actions.

A tripod is a must. You coud even consider a monopod which is less bulky and makes it much easier to steady shots.

The blur on your moonshot is due to motion and will not be a problem with a tripod.

It is an amazing hobby isn't it?
