I looked up pau d'arco... lots of info out there... It sounds like an awesome herb, but it states it "boosts" the immune system. Lupus is an autoimmune disease. Basically the body is allergic to itself, meaning it is already on hyper drive. All the "western" meds she is currently on work by decreasing her immune system. This prevents/decreases the terrible "seek and destroy mode" on her own body. These are meds that are given to people that are preparing to receive an organ transplant, meaning they want to prevent the body from rejecting the organ so the meds basically kill the immune system. also these meds are given to chemo pts.
I wonder how this med that boosts the immune would/could work on lupus??? I would think it would make symptoms worse....
I am very curious so I will keep researching, might find the answer! it is worth the time and effort!! thank you for taking your time to help me out, I truly appreciate it!
