Your point is well taken, in fact the Scriptures must also be in harmony with science, that is to say, correct conclusions that Mankind has drawn for the last 500 years. Now we know that the Sun preceeded the Earth, so God must be telling us something other than the conclusion we have drawn from Genesis. Just as Adam was not the first homosapian. He was the first perfect homosapian to be called Man by God, as Adam was made perfect, in comparison to imperfect homosapians that preexisted him. Science has again nailed it.

Dust is a designation for non spiritual Man. Effectively being an animal, or creature that moves along the ground.Adam was the first spiritual man. He was taken from the "dust" and made spiritual, or perfect. He had an associated angelic soul to enter into when his physical soul expired. We can now see the significance of his fall, I hope!!! When he fell, he lost the capability of fathering spiritual children.

This is why Jesus had to offer Himself as a blood sacrifice. God's righteousness had to be fulfilled. Soul for soul. Life for life. Can any of you see this???
