The bible does say though, in a very simple form:

"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved right?"

What is so hard about understanding that?

The rest, I believe, comes as our understanding grows and God reveals Himself to us.

Humans do have a habit of confusing every part of life. God is not the author of confusion, but we certaintly are.
