smoking huffing period

I know this is a silly question but if smoking a cigarette isnt a sin..then what about smoking pot? and if smoking pots ok how is it ok to sniff cocaine, and other substanenceseses :) What literary basis do we have that says we can or can not smoke or take things that are dangerous to us.
